The Joy of Travel

…is unlike anything else.

The newness of another state, another city;

the different cuisines, flavours, aromas,

the people, their attires, their features,

their gait, their gaze,

the buildings that narrate stories of a bygone era,

the stray dogs – aplenty or too few,

the emporiums that attempt to dazzle you,

the unfamiliar languages

that you try to decipher

by observing actions, tones and expressions,

the scenery, the soil, the sights

are different from your own.

the smiles and sunsets are just as beautiful

wherever you go.
